FNP Instructor, Learning Lab

Responsibilities

• Facilitate student learning and performance assessments in on-site Clinical Learning Labs using high-fidelity simulation.
• Serve as a professional role model for students in communication, problem-solving, and patient advocacy.
• Engage in teaching through demonstration, practice, and assistance with basic nursing skills and complex patient care scenarios.
• Assist students in applying clinical judgment, critical thinking, and the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
• Use evidence-based tools to evaluate clinical learning and provide constructive feedback to students.
• Maintain communication with Lab Faculty regarding student remediation and lab operations.
• Support quality improvement and assist with lab supply inventory and staff scheduling.

Requirements

• MSN degree (contingent on State Board of Nursing regulations).
• Active Nurse Practitioner license and current Nurse Practitioner Certification.
• Active, unencumbered RN License in the state of Indiana.
• 2+ years of professional work experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in primary care procedures, including suturing, skin biopsies, casting, splinting, joint injections, and women's health examinations.
• Ability to work on-site in Indianapolis, IN, with availability Tuesday through Thursday (7:30 am - 4:30 pm) as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in simulation-based education.
• Strong experience with distance education and distance learning students.
• Experience using integrated technology systems and tools.
