Fluid Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform system-level sizing and performance analysis for fluid systems
• Translate requirements into hardware concepts and evaluate architectures
• Design pressurized and unpressurized components and assemblies using CAD
• Conduct structural and mechanical analysis for pressure, thermal, and operational loads
• Drive design-for-manufacturability improvements
• Lead first-article builds and establish production processes
• Plan and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing
• Define concepts of operations from commissioning through steady-state operation
• Participate in internal and external design reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or Engineering Physics
• 4+ years of experience in Fluids System design, analysis, or hardware development
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gas dynamics, thermal analysis, and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Hands-on experience with pressurized systems such as valves, regulators, and pressure vessels
• Experience owning hardware from concept through production
• Proficiency with FEA tools and CAD software
• Strong technical leadership and communication skills
