Fluent Commerce Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement order orchestration workflows on the Fluent Commerce platform, including modeling states, rulesets, and triggers.
• Develop custom business logic and rules in Java using the Fluent SDK.
• Build and consume GraphQL APIs to manage data entities such as Orders, Inventory, and Returns.
• Extend user interfaces using the OMX UX Framework.
• Integrate Fluent Commerce with external systems like ERP, WMS, and e-commerce platforms using event-driven patterns and webhooks.
• Configure inventory and sourcing logic, including Available-to-Promise (ATP) and fulfillment strategies.
• Write automated tests for rules and workflows and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong core Java skills.
• Hands-on experience with Fluent Commerce or Fluent Order Management (workflows, rules, and SDK).
• Solid experience with GraphQL (schemas, queries, and mutations).
• Understanding of event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, POS) via APIs and middleware.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluent Commerce certification.
• Front-end skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, or React.
• Experience with composable/MACH commerce architectures (e.g., commercetools).
• Domain knowledge in retail order management and omnichannel fulfillment.
• Experience with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
