Responsibilities
- Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure high standards
- Perform yield testing, product identification, and ensure proper rotation and labeling
- Monitor dry and general stores daily and ensure perishable produce follows guidelines
- Conduct weekly kitchen walk-throughs to ensure sanitation and maintenance standards are met
- Demonstrate international cuisine through food tasting as required
- Ensure kitchen security and adherence to occupational health guidelines
- Manage hygienic storage of equipment and perishable items
- Coordinate with receiving and storeroom departments regarding product quality
- Update recipes, costing, and menu planning for promotions
