Flooring Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete flooring installations, repairs, and replacements within designated timelines
• Remove existing flooring materials and properly dispose of debris
• Prepare subfloors by leveling, patching, and addressing minor surface issues
• Install carpet, vinyl, LVP, laminate, and tile flooring
• Install transitions, trim, baseboards, and finishing materials
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and safety standards
• Measure and estimate materials needed for projects
• Coordinate with team members and vendors
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment
• Document completed work and materials used
• Travel between multiple properties as needed

Requirements

• Knowledge of subfloor preparation and flooring installation techniques
• Experience with carpet stretchers, seam irons, tile cutters, and other installation tools
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasks
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of flooring installation experience in multi-family or residential settings
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
