Floating Lead Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Travel between multiple residential communities throughout the San Antonio region to provide maintenance support.
• Perform general repairs including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, painting, and drywall.
• Respond to resident service requests within 24 hours and complete repairs efficiently.
• Oversee apartment make-readies, vacancy trash-outs, and unit inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Conduct preventive maintenance for buildings, equipment, pools, and community grounds.
• Mentor and train on-site maintenance team members and supervise subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate records for work orders, inventory, and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Participate in the on-call and emergency maintenance rotation, including evenings and weekends.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA refrigerant, transition, and recovery certification.
• Ownership of a basic set of hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the San Antonio region.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Technical certification in a maintenance-related field.
