Float Teacher

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality child development support with an emphasis on cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
• Assist with daily care routines including toileting, meal times, hand washing, and teeth brushing.
• Engage in responsive, supportive, and respectful adult-child interactions.
• Support teaching teams during nap times, transitions, and provide coverage for breaks and planning time.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential.
• Completion of Child Growth and Development coursework (or equivalent per NH State Childcare Licensing).
• Previous experience working in an early childhood classroom setting (preschool, infant, or toddler).
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification.
• Successful completion of a criminal record check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children and families.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
