Flight Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform all facets of flight testing including planning, execution, data collection, reduction, analysis, and report writing
• Provide project officer leadership for developmental, operational, and research tests
• Maintain a strict flight test disciplined approach to planning and deployed operations
• Interface with test organizations to support technical and safety plan approvals
• Coordinate with prime contractors and subcontractors regarding test item modifications and maintenance
• Review modification packages for air vehicles, ground control stations, and support equipment
• Evaluate subjective and objective data acquired through test execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in engineering
• Test and evaluation experience in an aerospace program
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI DoD clearance
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• 4+ years of experience within the DoD
• Experience with UAS flight testing
• Experience with ArduPilot mission planning software
