Flight Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop spacecraft flight software applications for command and data handling, power, and communications
• Create embedded software to interact with satellite hardware using protocols like CAN, I2C, SPI, and RS-422
• Develop test software and telemetry tooling to verify and validate flight software on flatsat environments

Requirements

• Proficiency in C, C++, or Rust
• Experience building software that interacts with hardware devices
• Familiarity with Linux and operating system principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of the Rust programming language
• Experience with embedded Linux systems or Yocto/OpenEmbedded
• Experience with SmallSats, CubeSats, or hardware-in-the-loop testing
