Flight Prep Technician II

Responsibilities

• Perform production assembly and flight preparation operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies
• Work from diagrams, drawings, and technical data to complete tasks
• Use hand/power tools, ground support equipment, hydraulic servicing carts, and oxygen servicing equipment
• Conduct continuity checks and collaborate with quality and manufacturing engineering for troubleshooting
• Position and align subassemblies in jigs or fixtures using measuring instruments
• Inspect completed work to ensure components meet prescribed standards and tolerances
• Complete work package documentation required by FAA and repair station manuals
• Perform serviceability tests using specified test equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience in assembly, mechanical, electrical, or aircraft structures
• Proficiency in riveting, hardware installation, and usage of precision instruments
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and specifications
• Ability to fabricate parts
• Ability to wear a respirator per OSHA regulations
• Ability to work different shifts and flexible hours

Preferred Qualifications

• A&P certification
• Mechanical or electrical experience
• Aircraft structures experience
