Fleet Trainee

About the Company

Boskalis is a leading global dredging and marine contractor. We design and build infrastructure in and around water, such as ports, waterways, offshore energy installations and coastal protection projects. We also develop and operate a large fleet of specialised vessels to carry out this work worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering and operational projects to ensure reliable vessel performance
• Assist with maintenance, upgrades, and daily operations within the fleet
• Combine technical problem-solving with hands-on involvement in the office and on-site
• Complete two tailored assignments over a 12-month period to prepare for a Technical Superintendent role
• Work closely with vessels, equipment, and international project teams

Requirements

• Completed BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Affinity with technical systems, machinery, or maritime environments
• Practical mindset and interest in hands-on technical work
• Flexibility to work in different environments and adapt to changing project conditions, including working abroad
• Good command of spoken and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• Eagerness to learn new systems and unfamiliar dredging equipment
• Ability to work in international teams in diverse project locations
