Fleet Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Improve vehicle fleet uptime by performing root cause analysis on trending vehicle issues
• Implement long-term fixes by designing scalable solutions for the fleet
• Create and maintain robust testing procedures, diagnostic tools, and operational metrics to maximize safety and stability
• Investigate system failures or underperformance in real-world environments to drive vehicle improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to resolve escalations and improve demo and testing performance

Requirements

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience working with automotive hardware and software
• Proven experience with hardware reliability and testing
• Hands-on experience with AV components such as LiDAR, RADAR, and Cameras

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of automotive communication protocols including CAN/CAN FD, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet
• Experience using common CAN/CAN FD tools like Vector or PCAN View/Explorer
• Experience flashing software and firmware updates on hardware such as ECUs
• Proficiency with software tools like Slack, Jira, and Confluence
