Fleet Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and support a team of Fleet Ops Specialists across South America
• Own performance management, recruitment, and workload scheduling for the regional team
• Build and manage the maintenance system for hardware infrastructure (collars and towers)
• Act as the first point of escalation for field issues and hardware diagnosis
• Provide on-site support for farm deployments, including drone mapping and installs
• Collect and analyze hardware data to optimize processes and inform decision-making
• Feed field insights back to product and engineering teams in Auckland
• Travel regularly (3-4 days a week) across the South American region

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing field or operations teams
• Practical experience with tools, electrical work, construction, or equipment fitting
• Deep knowledge of South American cattle production and regional producer operations
• Fluency in both Spanish and English
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, early-stage market entry environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on-call for hardware incidents

• Broader experience in agriculture or agri-tech
• Experience scaling teams in high-growth or early-stage environments
