Fleet Mechanic III

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans, and forklifts
• Disassemble and overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and electrical systems
• Complete all necessary documentation, including detailed vehicle records
• Manage the ordering and inventory of parts
• Act as a mentor to Class I and Class II mechanics

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 1+ years of experience as a mechanic working on a fleet
• Ability to work on various vehicle types, including diesel trucks and electric/propane forklifts
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must supply your own set of tools to perform the job
• Willingness to acquire necessary certifications within the first year, including ASE (Heavy and Medium duty), DOT CDL (Class A), DOT brake and annual inspection, and A/C certification
