Fleet Mechanic II

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), trailers, vans, and forklifts
• Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary
• Disassemble and overhaul motors, transmissions, clutches, rear ends, and electrical systems
• Adhere to OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory compliance standards
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and input data into fleet maintenance software (SAP EAM)
• Manage ordering and inventory of parts
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and tools
• Move trailers around the warehouse, distribution center, or trucking yard

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of Diesel Mechanic experience on a fleet
• Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must supply your own set of tools to perform the job
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work a Monday-Friday shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm) with flexibility for overtime and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• CDL Class A license
