Fleet Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of fleet operations for a multi-state internet service provider
• Develop and manage fleet budgets, including capital expenditures and operating costs
• Negotiate contracts with leasing companies, maintenance providers, and fuel suppliers
• Establish and maintain vehicle acquisition, retirement, and replacement programs
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum operating efficiency
• Ensure compliance with FMCSA and California Code of Regulations for Class A and B licenses
• Maintain registrations, titles, motor carrier permits, inspections, and licenses
• Oversee Fleet Coordinators and maintain the company vehicle database
• Partner with Safety Manager to investigate vehicle accidents and recommend corrective actions
• Develop and present detailed fleet operational dashboards and metrics

Requirements

• Seven or more years of fleet management experience
• Two or more years in a supervisory role
• Valid California driver’s license and clean DMV record
• Experience with Federal D.O.T. Out-of-Service Criteria and DOT compliance audits
• Experience administering comprehensive fleet and equipment preventative maintenance programs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing maintenance and safety
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
