Fleet Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise drivers and ensure adherence to DOT and company policies
• Audit logs and maintain driver qualification files
• Conduct driver training and schedule routes and deliveries
• Prepare delivery schedules, bills of lading, trip records, and fuel tax reports
• Manage common carrier shipments
• Inspect loads securely and review proof of deliveries
• Handle rejected goods and coordinate reorders
• Oversee vehicle maintenance programs and ensure regulatory compliance

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years managing DOT-regulated drivers and scheduling transportation
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Basic math aptitude and computer familiarity
• Ability to read and use a tape measure
• Safety-first mindset and team-oriented attitude

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the glass industry
• Valid unexpired CDL
