About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as subject matter expert on fleet maintenance and repairs
- Identify fleet maintenance issues or trends and implement solutions
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize fleet maintenance activities
- Provide roadside assistance and coordinate repairs for downed vehicles
- Review work orders, purchase orders, and invoices for accuracy
- Ensure conformance with vehicle manufacturer service recommendations
- Maintain parts department and inventory levels
- Comply with all OSHA and DOT regulations
Requirements
- 5 years of fleet and material handling equipment experience
- 5 years of mechanical experience
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engine mechanics
- Knowledge of safety practices and DOT regulations
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment
- Ability to read and follow written instructions in English
- Clean driving record and AK state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- EPA 608/609 certifications
- ASE certifications
- State or Federal DOT Inspectors License
- Class A or B commercial driver license
- Forklift certification
- Experience with Manager+ Fleet Management Information System
