About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse fleet team including technicians, shop foremen, and coordinators.
- Schedule and oversee maintenance for a variety of vehicles ranging from motorcoaches to transit vans.
- Ensure all vehicles meet DOT and FMCSA standards for passenger-carrying vehicles.
- Audit work orders for accuracy regarding technician hours and parts usage.
- Manage vendor relationships and develop systems to increase in-house repair capabilities.
- Maintain vehicle compliance by reviewing driver defect reports (DVIRs) and updating telematics systems.
- Monitor shop efficiency, streamline workflows to reduce waste, and maintain a safe work environment.
- Coordinate with the IT team to ensure on-board shuttle technology and telematics are functional.
Requirements
- 5+ years of maintenance experience working with a variety of vehicles.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in fleet maintenance, automotive repair, or transportation operations.
- Proficiency with fleet management software (experience with Fleetio or Samsara is a plus).
- Strong understanding of budget concepts and cost reduction in maintenance activities.
- Proven ability to manage vendor relationships and hold team members accountable to performance standards.
- Excellent proactive communication skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders.

- Annual salary between $85,000 and $105,000.
