About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of drivers, managing schedules, routes, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for fleet vehicles and buses to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and control operational expenses, including fuel, tolls, travel allowances, and maintenance costs.
- Implement route optimization methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, service histories, and spare parts inventory.
- Establish and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for driver performance and fleet operations.
- Manage vendor relationships and review repair estimates and invoices for accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Administration, Transportation, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet operations, driver supervision, or fleet maintenance coordination.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (minimum B2 level).
- Proficiency with fleet management systems, ERP software, and advanced Excel for data analysis.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, transportation regulations, and road safety compliance.
- Proven leadership, decision-making, and vendor management skills.
- Experience working in a multicultural or international environment.
