Fleet Dispatcher

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule daily fuel, lubricant, and DEF deliveries to commercial, industrial, and fleet customers
• Dispatch company drivers and tank wagons for local and regional routes to maximize productivity
• Communicate load details, delivery instructions, and route changes to drivers
• Monitor delivery progress using GPS and dispatch software to ensure on-time service
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including delivery confirmations and driver hours
• Collaborate with operations, sales, and accounting teams to ensure order accuracy
• Support compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies
• Provide customer service regarding delivery questions, changes, or emergencies

Requirements

• Previous dispatch experience in fuel, lubricant, or transportation operations preferred
• Working knowledge of dispatch systems, routing, and GPS tracking software
• Strong understanding of Chicago-area geography and surrounding Midwest regions
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage time-sensitive logistics
• Flexible schedule with the ability to assist during off-hours, emergencies, weekends, and holidays
• Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service
