Fleet Diesel Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance at the shop and customer locations
• Execute oil changes and troubleshoot TRUAir & hydraulic brakes
• Perform lift & rail gate PM, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair suspensions, steering, drive trains, rear ends, and transmissions
• Handle clutch changing and general cab/chassis maintenance
• Conduct fuel and electrical diagnostics with limited supervision
• Perform California 90 day BIT & Federal USDOT inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair A/C systems
• Accurately complete written records of work performance
• Maintain a clean work and shop area following Safety SOPs
• Communicate with drivers and customers regarding DVIRs

Requirements

• 5 to 6+ years of Diesel Engine Repair experience
• Valid driver's license
• Self-motivated with leadership skills
• Availability for on-call rotation
