Fleet Deckhand

Responsibilities

• Assist deck crew in tow building including laying wires and tightening ratchets
• Perform daily vessel housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning living quarters
• Carry rigging, pumps, hoses, and lines
• Check barges for water and leaks, including entering confined spaces
• Maintain vessel appearance through washing, chipping, and painting
• Assist the Engineer as requested
• Participate in safety drills, audits, and follow Ingram safety systems

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Valid TWIC card
• Ability to lift and carry up to 110 pounds for up to 1000 feet
• Ability to work in confined spaces and climb ladders
• Ability to read and write English for USCG regulatory requirements
• Ability to work 7/7 shifts (12-hour shifts for 7 days, followed by 7 days off)
• Must live within 1 hour of Sauget or East Carondelet, IL
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and physical
