About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Flavorists by compounding and batching flavor formulas
- Test and analyze flavors, gathering data such as specific gravity and flashpoints
- Maintain flavor lab inventory and ensure raw materials are within shelf life
- Operate and maintain lab and pilot plant equipment including homogenizers and spray dryers
- Prepare stock solutions and flavor samples for customer shipment
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized work environment following GMP
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to stand upright for approximately 6 hours a day
- Ability to lift or transport containers up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to use personal protective equipment including respirators and safety glasses
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a compounder in a flavor or pharmaceutical lab
- Experience with food and beverage processing equipment
- Experience working in the food or beverage industry
