Fixed Site Antenna Mast Group (FSAMG) Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform PMCS, organizational repair, and maintenance of all communications equipment at eight FSAMG sites, the Air Operations Center (AOC), and the Alternative Air Operations Center (AAOC).
• Provide technical advice and demonstrations to UAE military personnel regarding the testing, maintenance, repair, and configuration of PATRIOT communications equipment.
• Monitor and report on the configuration of FSAMG building and tower equipment, including UHF/VHF radios, COMSEC, IP Routers, Servers, and cabling.
• Configure replacement CISCO Integrated Service Routers and CISCO Call Management Servers, including troubleshooting complex routing and connectivity.
• Utilize Network Analyzers to troubleshoot networks using manual and automated means.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs with Battalion and CMF personnel.
• Advise on communications planning for fixed sites and tactical deployments.
• Maintain Tower Mounted UHF/VHF equipment as a certified Communications Tower Worker.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the operation, test, and repair of PATRIOT FSAMG equipment and IT system network components.
• Ability to configure and restore network components including routers, switches, and servers.
• CCNA and Windows Server 7 qualifications.
• Communications Tower Worker certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of related experience, Associates Degree with 8 years of experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 12 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in International Patriot FMS Programs.
• Experience living and working in an overseas location.
• Skills in troubleshooting and repairing SINCGARS, MIDS terminals, JTIDS, and similar radios.
• Experience with ATDL-1, Link-11, Link-16, and PADIL operations.
• Working knowledge of CPX-200/300, MLT-220, and international Digital Switch Multiplexing Equipment.
• Knowledge in the repair of secure digital fiber optic links and networks.
