About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for fixed income reference data, security master attributes, pricing, ratings, and analytics.
- Perform detailed analysis of large fixed income datasets to support index construction, methodology development, and rebalances.
- Translate index methodology requirements into business rules and data specifications for universe construction and weighting.
- Design and implement data quality controls to identify deficiencies across internal and third-party data sources.
- Investigate and resolve complex data quality issues by partnering with technology teams and external vendors.
- Define and document critical data attributes, validation frameworks, and governance standards for index production.
- Project manage data onboarding efforts and index implementation initiatives.
Requirements
- BS/BA (or equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 8-10 years of experience in asset management, fixed income markets, index management, or financial analytics.
- Deep understanding of bond mathematics, yield calculations, duration, spread analytics, and credit risk measures.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate complex datasets and identify root causes of data issues.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with analytical tools such as Python, Snowflake, Power BI, or Alteryx.
- Experience working with financial data vendors like Bloomberg, ICE, or Refinitiv.
