Fixed Asset Accountant

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end global financial accounting and reporting for fixed asset costs, including capitalization and classification
• Partner with Accounting Policy to assess infrastructure expenditures under ASC 842
• Manage global accounting for fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and impairment assessments under ASC 360
• Ensure timely month-end and quarter-end accounting for all related transactions
• Drive data quality improvements by solving problems with big data and complex cost allocation methodologies
• Partner with Financial Reporting and Procurement to build financial models for capacity planning and cost optimization
• Develop scalable processes and automated solutions to support rapid growth
• Serve as a liaison with external auditors for compute and infrastructure costs
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and management presentations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Operational experience in technology companies and fixed asset management
• Extensive experience with fixed asset accounting and lease accounting under ASC 842
• Expertise in analyzing and solving problems with big data and large compute cost datasets
• Proficiency in financial systems, data visualization tools, and database querying technologies
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
