FIX Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support team efforts to maintain high availability for Charles River Network Clients
• Coordinate with clients, internal colleagues, and network vendors for problem troubleshooting and resolution
• Configure and customize FIX connections
• Perform testing and certification of FIX compatibility with brokers
• Manage ongoing changes, enhancements, and database documentation accuracy
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior staff as required

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience with FIX administration and support or Buy Side Order Management Software (Charles River IMS preferred)
• Proven ability to work in mission-critical operations and support environments
• General knowledge of Wide Area Networks (WAN) and Local Area Networks (LAN)
• Experience with database software
• Strong technical troubleshooting aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to provide periodic off-hours support and occasional travel to customer sites

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 years of experience in the securities trading industry
• Background in portfolio management and trading system applications
