Fitter

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, installation, and modification work
• Maintain pumps, valves, and mechanical equipment associated with pipelines and bulk water storages
• Monitor plant and equipment performance to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation
• Identify, report, and correct workplace hazards and defects in a timely manner
• Manage contractor activities in conjunction with supervisors to ensure safe asset access
• Participate in a 1 in 4 on-call roster

Requirements

• Certificate III in Fitting and Machining, Fitter-Mechanic, or a suitable equivalent trade
• Valid Class ‘C’ driver’s licence
• Ability to perform manual tasks and work in confined spaces
• Strong technical, diagnostic, and computer skills
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
