About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform fitting and machining on hydropower equipment and assets
  • Machine large components using lathes and milling equipment
  • Refurbish turbine parts, gates, and large valves
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and specialist trades
  • Mentor and support trainees and apprentices

Requirements

  • Trade qualification as a Fitter Machinist
  • Experience in heavy machining and workshop environments
  • High competence in lathe and milling operations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Interest in large-scale asset refurbishment and renewable energy
