About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform fitting and machining on hydropower equipment and assets
- Machine large components using lathes and milling equipment
- Refurbish turbine parts, gates, and large valves
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and specialist trades
- Mentor and support trainees and apprentices
Requirements
- Trade qualification as a Fitter Machinist
- Experience in heavy machining and workshop environments
- High competence in lathe and milling operations
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Interest in large-scale asset refurbishment and renewable energy
