Fitter

Responsibilities

• Check materials to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Operate shop equipment as required for the job
• Set up welders and other shop equipment
• Build fixtures and other aids to improve workflow
• Follow all company safety rules
• Help train and guide newer crew members
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to run equipment, weld, and burn
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid AWS D1.1 Certification
• Willingness to join Local Union 851

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication
