Fitter and Welder

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fitting for pipe, tube, and CJP scenarios
• Fit up rigid frame columns, rafters, and beam canopies according to specifications
• Interpret blueprints and sketches to determine required parts
• Measure, mark, and locate components in assemblies
• Position sub-assemblies using clamping devices and material handling equipment
• Use welding, flame cutting, and arc gouging to join parts within tolerances
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum one year of welding and fitting experience in a production environment or valid welding certification
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings
• Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certifications
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds continually

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with forklift operation
• Experience with overhead crane operation
