Fitness Manager

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly sales targets for personal training agreements and revenue generation
• Collaborate with membership sales to support new member onboarding
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Personal Training Managers and trainers
• Manage payroll for Assistant Fitness Managers and personal trainers
• Communicate goals and procedures to department leaders and staff
• Ensure staff maintain appropriate CPR, First Aid, and personal trainer certifications
• Provide performance feedback and coaching to staff members
• Address member concerns and resolve issues to ensure high-quality customer service
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
• Supervise facility maintenance and cleanliness of equipment and common areas

Requirements

• Valid Personal Training certification
• Previous sales experience
• CPR certification (required within 30 days of hire)
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs routinely
• Ability to work in a gym setting and operate company computer systems

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of management experience, preferably in fitness or personal training
• 3-4 years of customer service experience
• Personal Training sales experience
• Strong MS Office skills
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills
