Fitness Manager

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets month-over-month, driving membership growth and revenue generation
• Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise Personal Training Managers, Assistant Fitness Managers, and Personal Trainers
• Manage the payroll process for fitness staff
• Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to department leaders and staff
• Ensure all fitness staff maintain appropriate certifications (CPR, First Aid, PT)
• Provide constructive performance feedback to staff members
• Address member concerns and ensure high-quality customer service
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility

Requirements

• Must successfully pass background check
• Valid Personal Training certification
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
• Previous sales experience required
• Ability to work in a gym setting and move about club floors
• Ability to bend routinely and lift more than 40 lbs
• Proficiency with company computer systems and MS Office

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of management experience (fitness/PT management preferred)
• 3-4 years of customer service experience
• Personal Training sales experience
• Strong relationship building and influencing skills
