Fitness Instructor

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct a variety of fitness classes for employees at designated JAX sites, both in-person and via live Zoom streams.
• Ensure participant safety by monitoring exercise techniques and proper equipment usage.
• Foster an inclusive environment and provide necessary exercise modifications based on fitness levels, physical limitations, or health concerns.
• Stay current with industry trends and make recommendations for new program offerings.
• Maintain professional growth through participation in educational programs, workshops, and current literature.

Requirements

• Nationally accredited certification (NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, or ISSA).
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fitness instruction.
• Strong knowledge of body mechanics, basic anatomy, and kinesiology.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 2 years of experience in fitness instruction.
