Fish Health Biologist

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing fish health monitoring at food fish and hatchery facilities
• Perform sampling and diagnostics with correct journal entry according to regulations
• Conduct hygiene inspections of vessels
• Support and report on R&D projects and participate in development work
• Provide training to operational staff regarding fish health and infection prevention
• Participate in internal and external audits and continuous improvement work
• Collaborate with the quality department on documentation and deviation management
• Represent fish health in leadership meetings

Requirements

• Authorization as a fish health biologist or veterinarian
• Good proficiency in Norwegian and English (written and oral)
• Valid driver's license (Class B)
• Knowledge of regulations and reporting routines in Norwegian aquaculture
• 1-3 years of experience in fish health preferred
• Practical background from the aquaculture industry is an advantage
