About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage the fish department as a strategic profit center for the point of sale
- Act as a brand ambassador, representing the company's commitment to quality and service
- Oversee daily operations including ordering, stock rotation, and inventory management
- Ensure high-quality product presentation and department merchandising
- Provide expert customer service, advice, and sales to build local customer loyalty
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and safety standards inherent to seafood handling
Requirements
- CAP Poissonnier (Fishmonger certification) or significant experience in retail/large-scale distribution
- Proven experience in sales or retail management
- Strong customer service skills and a commercial mindset
- Ability to manage stock, orders, and department profitability
- Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with customers and work within a team
