Fiscal Technician III

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate difficulty accounting, payroll, and financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and customer utility payments
• Monitor and track budget expenditures and prepare routine financial reports
• Reconcile accounts, balance cash drawers, and prepare bank deposits
• Maintain payroll and time-keeping records, including processing leave slips and troubleshooting accrual discrepancies
• Assist customers with utility service applications and resolve billing inquiries or complaints
• Maintain specialized funds, billing data, and organized alphabetic/numeric filing systems
• Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, and other necessary financial documentation

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2-3 years of related accounting or clerical experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
• Typing speed of at least 30 wpm
