Fiscal Technician 2

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing, routine, and repetitive fiscal tasks within manual and automated payroll systems
• Compile and compute payroll data from source documents including Time Reports and Personnel Action Forms
• Prepare, review, verify, and process payroll documents under tight deadlines to support semi-monthly cycles
• Communicate professionally to request information or resolve discrepancies
• Work accurately with numbers and maintain high attention to detail

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent
• One year of general clerical or fiscal experience (or equivalent education/experience)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong communication skills and ability to work accurately with numbers
• Ability to work additional hours or overtime, including possible nights, weekends, and/or holidays, to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with WSU mainframe accounting systems
• Clerical experience in a higher education environment
