About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of approximately 6 employees at the new Tacoma Regional Distribution Center.
- Support the site startup phase, assisting with the transition from setup to full operations.
- Oversee daily operational performance, including productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping.
- Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Manage employee engagement, performance coaching, and professional development.
- Oversee daily operations of automated systems and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
- Champion continuous improvement by leading Lean activities and problem-solving initiatives.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and inventory accuracy.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in an industrial, distribution, or supply chain environment.
- 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of Lean principles and experience with change management.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment involving physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work first shift during startup and transition to second shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) in 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in or leading teams within an AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) facility.
