First Line Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of approximately 6 employees at the new Tacoma Regional Distribution Center.
• Support the site startup phase, assisting with the transition from setup to full operations.
• Oversee daily operational performance, including productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipping.
• Foster a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Manage employee engagement, performance coaching, and professional development.
• Oversee daily operations of automated systems and manage preventative maintenance schedules.
• Champion continuous improvement by leading Lean activities and problem-solving initiatives.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and inventory accuracy.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in an industrial, distribution, or supply chain environment.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of Lean principles and experience with change management.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to work in a warehouse environment involving physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility to work first shift during startup and transition to second shift (2:30 pm – 11:00 pm) in 2027.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in or leading teams within an AS/RS (Automated Storage and Retrieval System) facility.
