First Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance Program
• Perform engine maintenance and ensure engine room cleanliness
• Maintain firefighting equipment, safety gear, pumps, hydraulic, and electrical equipment
• Manage ordering of parts and equipment as required
• Handle bunkering of fuel and oil and comply with oil pollution regulations
• Maintain the maintenance logbook and oil record book
• Stand watch and respond to emergency mechanical or electrical matters
• Conduct engine room tours and presentations for guests
• Provide safety orientation for new crew members

Requirements

• Engineer Class 1 or 2 (STCW95)
• Engineer Watchkeeper CoC with First Engineer endorsement
• ASSB, Crowd Control, and Crisis Management certifications
• International AMSA Medical
• First Aid or Medical Care on Ships & CPR
• Valid Passport and MSIC Card

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience on passenger ships
