About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all main meals according to requirements and menu standards
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all safety and sanitation controls
- Coordinate with production team members to ensure quality and contract standards are met
- Complete HACCP and production logs, including labeling and dating all products
- Manage workstation cleanliness, including end-of-shift cleaning and garbage removal
- Receive and store food, beverage, chemical, and paper supplies
Requirements
- Valid Food Safety Certificate
- OFA 3 Certificate
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hospitality or food service
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a First/Sous Cook in hotels, resorts, restaurants, or camps
- Ability to pass drug, alcohol, health, and criminal background assessments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to pass the mandatory WHMIS test with 80% or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- HACCP certification
- Experience with international and domestic cuisines
- Background in Hot Kitchens, Cold Kitchens, Pastry, Butchery, and Banquets
