Firmware/Embedded Engineer

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimize robust embedded firmware and bootloaders (BIOS/UEFI) for enterprise server motherboards
• Lead the engineering phase to integrate state-approved cryptographic algorithms and secure-boot sequences in compliance with BSSN requirements
• Write, debug, and maintain low-level Linux Kernel device drivers to ensure seamless hardware-to-software orchestration
• Partner with local hardware designers in Batam and global R&D teams in the UAE
• Maintain technical blueprints and cryptographic logs required for government and national compliance audits

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Firmware Development, Embedded Systems, or low-level systems programming
• High proficiency in C and C++ for embedded architectures
• Hands-on experience with BIOS/UEFI development
• Familiarity with Linux Kernel driver optimization
• Experience using hardware debugging tools such as JTAG and emulators
• Excellent command of written and spoken English for global collaboration
• Must be based in Batam or willing to relocate to work full-time onsite

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience or interest in national compliance structures (BSSN, TKDN)
• Experience with cryptography and secure-boot implementation
