Firmware & Testing Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and develop a team of software engineers involved in embedded product development
• Provide technical support and mentorship to team members
• Plan, estimate, and track development activities for ongoing projects
• Collaborate closely with the testing team to align verification and validation activities
• Facilitate communication between Firmware, Testing, Hardware, and Industrialization teams
• Participate in the analysis and resolution of complex hardware-software technical issues
• Coordinate defect prioritization, release activities, and technical risk management
• Contribute to defining and improving software development, testing, and continuous integration processes
• Monitor project progress and ensure efficient communication with internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with international teams to align development goals and practices

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded product development
• Solid experience in C/C++ for microcontrollers and/or Embedded Linux systems
• Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and the full product development lifecycle
• Experience with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, or BLE
• Experience in hardware and software debugging
• 2-5 years of experience in a Team Lead, Technical Lead, or Engineering Lead role
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Experience with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence
• Advanced English language proficiency

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in testing and validation for embedded products
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and test automation
• Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
• Experience in electronic product development, industrial equipment, or measurement and control systems
• Familiarity with certification and compliance processes
