Firmware Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test suites to validate drone and ground control software
• Build and enhance automated testing frameworks and tools
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Monitor test results to ensure build stability before releases
• Maintain high-quality software through comprehensive test coverage and best practices
• Create and maintain documentation for test cases, plans, and results

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience with a focus on embedded systems and HIL testing
• Hands-on experience building and setting up HIL test systems
• Strong scripting skills, specifically with Python, for test automation
• Familiarity with embedded communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, and Ethernet
• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI or Jenkins
• Experience using Git and standard development workflows
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with C/C++
• Experience with embedded build systems like Bazel, CMake, or Make
• Experience testing RF products
• Experience with FPV Drone software including Betaflight, ExpressLRS, PX4, or Ardupilot
