Firmware R&D Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and certify embedded firmware for real-time industrial communications
• Implement fieldbus and Industrial Ethernet protocols including EtherCAT, PROFINET, and OPC UA FX
• Develop and maintain software for embedded systems and ensure seamless protocol integration
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize system performance and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality software development standards
• Ensure compliance with protocol specifications, performance requirements, and functional safety standards
• Develop unit tests and create development/debug tools

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electric Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
• At least 2 years of experience in C/C++ programming
• At least 2 years of experience in MCU or Embedded systems (GPIO, serial, and parallel communication)
• Proficiency with FreeRTOS and RT-Linux
• Strong English oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with version control systems such as Git or Mercurial
• Background in industrial automation and automatic control
• Relevant academic projects or internships for recent graduates
