About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust firmware on MCU platforms for wireless connectivity, data upload, and OTA updates
- Develop and optimize communication stacks for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and other wireless protocols
- Write efficient low-level code for hardware peripherals using GPIO, I2C, SPI, and UART
- Debug, test, and troubleshoot firmware in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Evaluate peer code to maintain best practices in style, accuracy, and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in embedded systems development
- Strong expertise in C programming and memory management
- Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and RTOS (FreeRTOS preferred)
- Proficiency in hardware-software interfacing (GPIO, I2C, SPI, JTAG)
- Experience with troubleshooting tools like debuggers, Wireshark, and oscilloscopes
- Familiarity with version control, CI, and build systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ESP32 microcontrollers
- Knowledge of cloud protocols like MQTT and platforms like AWS
- Experience with cellular connectivity
