Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of device firmware for Jetson Hub and Jetson Thermostat
• Develop reliable software for heat pumps, water heaters, and EV chargers
• Design for resiliency, including diagnostics, graceful degradation, and self-healing recovery paths
• Implement engineering rigour through tests, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Participate in on-call responsibility to diagnose and resolve production issues

Requirements

• Proficiency in production C or C++ on microcontrollers
• Experience with communication protocols such as Modbus, BLE, Wifi, or LoRa
• Deep understanding of memory management and real-time constraints
• Ability to debug complex hardware-software interactions
• Comfort working in an ambiguous, early-stage environment
• Experience with testing, code review, and CI/CD practices
