Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

• Write, compile, test, and debug onboard firmware applications using C/C++
• Assist in the design, development, and troubleshooting of firmware sub-systems
• Complete detailed design and development documentation
• Maintain code versions using versioning systems such as Git
• Collaborate with the team to define system requirements and necessary modifications
• Participate in team projects and assist in implementing firmware process improvements
• Investigate and resolve technical problems to meet identified schedules

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in firmware development or microcontroller programming
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages
• Solid understanding of basic digital and computer architecture
• Proven experience with at least one completed real-world or commercial embedded system project
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of device communication protocols
• Understanding of digital security principles
