Firmware Engineer (Data Center SSD)

Responsibilities

• Support the development, testing, and debugging of embedded firmware for SSD controllers
• Assist in analyzing firmware issues and performing root-cause investigations
• Collaborate with multi-functional groups to reproduce and resolve technical issues
• Contribute to validation, integration, and testing activities
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field
• Academic background or initial professional experience in embedded firmware development
• Programming proficiency in Python and at least one system-level language (C, C++, or Rust)
• Familiarity with development tools, scripting, and debugging environments
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-functional team

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to embedded systems and interaction with hardware components
• Basic understanding of low-level programming concepts and debugging techniques
• Academic or internship experience specifically in firmware or embedded software development
